据此前报道，波波维奇将不再担任马刺主教练，并将转型全职担任球队总裁。赛前，勇士主教练史蒂夫-科尔在接受记者采访时谈到了波波维奇，小吧整理了他的部分言论。

科尔：Raymond（勇士公关总监）刚好手边有。在我开始之前我想说，波波看到这件T恤一定会灭了，说我们是个“无助的小团队？？”肯定会气疯（笑）——我只想先对马刺表示感谢，感谢他们在我职业生涯中对我的一切意义。
我知道今天对马刺来说是非常感性的一天，对整个NBA来说也是如此。波波影响的人数、培养出的教练数量，真的令人难以置信。但波波对我来说是我人生中最重要的人之一，不仅仅因为篮球，还有很多超越篮球的原因。
今天是个伤感的日子，但我也觉得是一个令人鼓舞的时刻。我认为这对他来说是一个顺其自然的过渡，是他在组织层面进入下一阶段的好时机。我也认为这能给他一些空间和时间，让他从身体问题中恢复。
所以今天我心情非常复杂，更多的是我对波波的爱，对他经历的一切的共情，对马刺队的感情——一切的一切。对所有参与其中的人来说，这都是非常非常感性的一天。
