02月16日讯 西甲第24轮，皇马客场1-1战平奥萨苏纳，贝林厄姆因对主裁爆粗染红。主裁在裁判报告中写道：“他（贝林厄姆）在距离我仅数米远的地方，对我说了‘Fxxk you’。”
马卡报消息，皇马将对贝林厄姆的红牌提出上诉，他们提供视频和裁判报告中的错误表述，俱乐部认为贝林厄姆说的话与裁判报告中记录的内容不符，皇马将要求取消贝林厄姆的红牌，不进行任何处罚。
这在西甲曾有先例，上赛季格林伍德曾因说“fxxk you”被罚下，但之后竞赛委员会证实裁判报告描述有误，并宣布格林伍德上诉成功取消红牌，不会被停赛。
