3月19日讯 北京时间3月21日凌晨2:15，国足与沙特队的比赛将在沙特主场打响。在此前国足公布的大名单中，武磊和朱辰杰因伤无缘。
赛前沙特媒体“arriyadiyah”撰文谈到了缺席的武磊和朱辰杰，文章标题为《两名球员的缺席，让中国队在面对沙特队时忧心忡忡》，内容如下：
周四晚上中国队和沙特队的比赛将打响，但中国队的明星球员武磊在去年11月初遭遇半月板损伤，已经缺席比赛达150多天，鉴于他丰富的比赛经验以及此前在国家队、俱乐部的优秀表现，他可被认为是中国队阵中最具影响力的球星，但关键时期遗憾无缘比赛。
在受伤之前，武磊在中超联赛保持出色状态，他在联赛中斩获34个进球，荣膺中超联赛最佳射手，而且还曾在西班牙人效力过，可以说是中国队阵中不可或缺之人。
除了武磊之外，中国队还有一名实力悍将缺席，他就是效力上海申花的后卫朱辰杰，他此前代表中国队踢了10场世预赛，其中18强赛首回合与沙特的比赛他就首发出战。他和武磊是中国队阵中身价靠前的两名球员，身价分别是90万欧和120万欧。
